At a conference I’m attending, there is a significant amount of discussion regarding techniques members of this profession can implement to improve their income.
For many of us — in most careers — the past year was a challenging time. We saw sales dropping and pressures rising. Naturally, we all wanted our professional profitability and individual income to remain the same, at a minimum…if not continue to grow.
Yet, it seems to me that we’re focusing on the wrong direction. When we seek to raise our incomes, we unintentionally ignore where that revenue is originated. We tend to center on our desires rather than our customer’s needs.
We need, instead, to be recommitted to improving the outcomes we create for our clients, customers, prospects, and colleagues. When we create and deliver more value for THEM we will naturally develop more profit for US.
Where do YOU and your business focus? Is it on the “income” or the “outcome”?

Hi Scott,
Focusing on the success of you customer is the secret to all of this. Unfortunately, many people don’t see it. ME. ME. ME. It’s all they appear to care about.
“IN”…or “OUT”??
